As a business owner, you’re juggling endless responsibilities: growing your company, managing employees, and making sure your personal finances don’t take a backseat.

But you don’t have to do it alone. With expert financial guidance, you can protect your income, grow your wealth, and secure your future—all while staying focused on building your business.

Business owner advice

How do I balance my business and my personal finances?

Does this sound familiar?

  • “I’m great at managing my business finances, but my personal finances feel neglected.”

  • “What’s the best way to save for my future while reinvesting in my business?”

  • “How do I balance my income, savings, and the unpredictable nature of running a company?”

As a female business owner, you’ve worked hard to get here, but managing your finances can feel overwhelming and time-consuming.

Why it matters: Your future depends on the choices you make today

Running a business has ups and downs, which is why it’s crucial to take control of your finances now:

  • Without a clear plan, it’s easy to focus entirely on your business while neglecting personal savings and investment planning.

  • Unforeseen challenges can put your financial stability at risk if you don’t have the right protections in place.

  • Building wealth and security shouldn’t mean sacrificing the life you’ve worked so hard to create.

It’s time to ensure your financial success matches your business success.

Financial planning for women in business

Your business is thriving—now it’s time to take care of you.

As an experienced female financial adviser, I understand the unique challenges business owners face. Together, we’ll create your Money Map; your bespoke plan that lets you focus on your business while building long-term financial security.

  • Evaluate your current financial situation and identify opportunities for growth.

  • Develop strategies for balancing reinvestment in your business with personal savings and retirement goals.

  • Protect your income, assets, and family against unexpected events.

This is about making your money work as hard as you do.

Picture This

Imagine running your business without worrying about future you. Your personal finances are thriving alongside your company’s success, and you have a clear plan for growth, security, and retirement.

You’re not just working hard—you’re building the life you’ve always dreamed of.

FAQs

Q: I am selling my business. When should I contact you?

A: As soon as possible! I often get approached for financial advice after the business has been sold, and clients say to me “I wish I had met you sooner”.

There are often ways to maximise your hard earn’t money, often through saving tax, by working collaboratively with your accountant and solicitor ahead of and during the sale.

Exit Strategies may include the referral to a service that is separate and distinct to those offered by St. James’s Place.

  • Regular meetings, at least annually. Your life is not static, neither are market conditions. It is important to review your financial plan and make adjustments if needed.

If you are selling your business, then I recommend meeting or checking in every 6-8 weeks to ensure your exit strategy is aligned with your goals, and if your financial plan needs to be amended. I am on the other side of the phone as your wealth wingwoman throughout the process.

  • I have access to meeting rooms across Liverpool, Manchester and London if you would like to meet in an office.

My clients also like meeting at their office, home or virtually, whichever is most convenient at the time.
